W01 – rear wing stalling system , A-spec launched at China

Mercedes GP was the third team to race a  rear wing’s stalling system appart from Mc Laren and Sauber .This is the first interpretation of the Mc Laren ‘s F-duct system without connecting the wing to the engine cover .

The Mercedes wing’s stalling systems is much simpler than that of the Mc laren’s and Sauber’s and it is feeded with air entering two small inlets on the main plane . On the contrary at Mc Laren and Sauber case the wing is connected to the engine cover’s shark fin and is fed with air from a small tube inside the shark fin .  As the team said , the final and complete version of the system is likely to debut at Catalunya .
