Mercedes W01 – New floor splitter since Spain

   Old spec

    Part of the new major update package launched at Spain was also a new floor splitter . The longer wheelbase made the team to change the car’s weight distribution and to remove some of the ballast housed inside the splitter .As a consequence the splitter was lowered in height and became more efficient aerodynamically  with a smaller frontal section  as it had to house much less ballast . Finally the side vented sections were also rejected  .
