    You gotta kidding me, right? Fernando Alonso’s eighth engine did five races in succession? As far as I know, Ferrari did manage the engine situation, so Massa did not use ninth engine either. There are problems in that list.

      The chart is correct . Here are some explanations
      Both Ferrari drivers had a precautionary engine change after the qualifying session at Bahrain
      Alonso had an engine blown at Malaysian race and another one during free Practice at China
      Massa had a precautionary engine change after Q1 at Singapore and he was penalized for using his 9th engine of the season
      Alonso used his engine No8 during the last races but previous engine No during free Friday runs in some occasions and so managed to finish season without having a penalty .
