Red Bull RB7 – front suspension

1.Top wishbone

2.Steering axis

3.Bottom wishbone

4.Push rod arm

Visually the RB7 front suspension configuration looks alike to the RB6 . The wheels uprights that link the carbon-composite wishbones to the wheel are made of aluminium alloy . The loads from the wheels are carried via the pushrod to springs , anti-roll bars and multimatic dampers housed inside the monocoque above the driver’s  feet and behind the hydraulic braking system .

However some changes to the suspension internals might have occurred because Pirelli tyres are quite different to Bridgestone in terms of endurance , degradation rate and working  temperature .

Lastly no change to the steering axis as well which continues to exist below the top wishbone .
