Ferrari F150o – updated rear wing before the season opening


 

Ferrari reduced the Chord length of the second flap to cut drag further and gain top speed when the flap attack angle adjuster is activated  . The reason is because a short flap can easier gain an almost zero attack angle when moved upwards than a larger flap within the FIA rules window which is from 10 mm to 50mm (article 3.10.2.) .

Another change took also place to the fourth lower endplate slit which is now shortened . Endplate slits are to bleed air from the wing profile to cut drag .

 

Article 3.10.2.

Furthermore, the distance between adjacent sections at any longitudinal plane must lie between 10mm and 15mm at their closest position, except, in accordance with Article 3.18, when this distance must lie between 10mm and 50mm. “
